On 16 August, the 7th Mülheim company run was once again a great success. The runners set off in dry weather and summery temperatures. The 5.6 km route led from the Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences to the Ringlokschuppen.

With sporting ambition, our eleven runners really worked up a sweat before successfully crossing the finish line. Afterwards, the after-run party took place, where the day ended with currywurst, refreshing drinks and lots of fun.

School visits the ELOMECH Group: As part of the career exploration days at the Borbeck comprehensive school in Essen, we welcomed 25 Year 8 pupils to our ELOTechnikum. In addition to information about training opportunities at the ELOMECH-Group, there was a practical task in our training workshop and something to win. We hope you enjoyed the insight into our company!

The Hans-Sachs-Berufskolleg in Oberhausen works internationally: the school and the “German Jordanian Centre of Excellence” cooperate with Jordanian teachers and students and maintain a professional exchange in the field of solar and energy technology. With the support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), a delegation of technical teachers from Jordan has now visited the school in Oberhausen. Headmaster Marc Bücker also wanted to present the ELOTechnikum, the ELOMECH Group’s training centre, as a positive example of a high standard of training. The Arab guests were visibly impressed during a tour of the workshop and the forum.

Teloplan Ingenieurgesellschaft, together with Hekatron Technik GmbH, would like to support the work of Friedensdorf International e. V. in Oberhausen with a generous donation in kind and money. Thomas Waese, Managing Partner of Teloplan Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH, has known the Peace Village for a long time: “The Peace Village has been with me for more than 20 years – and is really a matter close to my heart. I have already completed numerous assignments and projects here.” Most recently, Teloplan was commissioned with the complete renewal of the early fire detection system on the site, which was completed at the beginning of the year. In order to provide additional support to the Peace Village alongside the contract, Teloplan was able to win over system partner Hekatron. Hekatron, a provider of products and services for fire protection systems, donated equipment worth EUR 7,000, which Teloplan was able to use as the installer and maintainer of the fire alarm technology in the Oberhausen Peace Village. In addition, Teloplan donated 5,000 euros in financial resources for the work of the organisation.

With our big Christmas raffle, ELOMECH Group colleagues not only have the chance to win great prizes every year, but also donate their entries to a good cause. The proceeds from the raffle, which were doubled by the management as every year, went this time to the CBE – Centrum für bürgerliches Engagement e. V. in Mülheim. V. in Mülheim. The organisation supports volunteers and their work in various areas.

Patients in the palliative care unit at Florence Nightingale Hospital are to be given more space for life. The Kaiserswerther Diakonie hospital is therefore remodelling the first floor of its building in Düsseldorf. The importance of respectful care is particularly noticeable in difficult times. Elomech and Teloplan are delighted to be able to support the remodelling with a donation.

This year, the examinations of our trainees took place under different conditions. However, the measures taken to protect against the coronavirus did not affect their success: 14 of our trainees successfully passed their final exams in January. We would like to congratulate them and are proud to welcome most of them to our team as new colleagues.

This year’s audit by TÜV covered the quality, environmental and occupational safety system of the entire ELOMECH Group, as well as the BMA certification according to DIN 14675 of the company Teloplan. In conjunction with two site inspections, we were able to fully present the existing system during the audit and the final assessment by the TÜV was consistently positive and without any significant objections.

2020 is a very special year for the ELOMECH Group. The individual companies are celebrating anniversaries! Together they have a whopping 155 years of company history. A proud achievement that speaks for us and our work. Neugebauer Elektrotechnik GmbH is proud to be 75 years old, Elomech Elektroanlagen GmbH has been around for 50 years, Teloplan Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH is celebrating its 25th anniversary and Eloprojekt GmbH is the youngest of the bunch at 5 years old. We are looking forward to an exciting anniversary year!

Brand awareness has a price: ELMAR, the coveted brand prize of the electrical industry, is awarded annually by the initiative “Elektromarken. Starke Partner” initiative. The award recognises electrical contractors who are masters of their trade and impress with innovative brand concepts and exceptional brand awareness. This year, the ELOMECH Group was presented with the ELMAR in bronze and was also honoured in the employer category.
